I just noticed that my SX-90R has an X stamped on the neck (same place as the numbers are stamped on old Buescher necks). Are there different neck versions? Mine plays with great pitch and I have no complaints.

Mine has "NS" stamped, aparently for the nickel/silver version of the horn.

"X" means "this neck has been built out of tune because a particularly famous Keilwerth user/endorser can't play in tune."
:D
Mine only has 6(dot)6 on the inner curve opposite the JK logo.
One can only hope the missing number in the middle is not another 6! :yikes!:

My J.K. Shadow Tenor has a small x on it's neck. My best guess is that it is there to aid in the precise alignment of the neck to the octave key linkage.

Mine (with the X) is a recent NS as well. This all sounds pretty random!

Hm, that seems to be rather ramdomn, no? Weird. Maybe those numbers refer to the sizes of the bore??
