I'm in the market for a Tenor, but I'm torn between the Kessler Custom Deluxe and the Unison 2000. I was wondering if anyone could tell me which is the better over-all horn? I play mostly classical, pop, and church music. Currently I play a Yamaha Custom 875 soprano, and a Yamaha 575 Allegro alto. I am a 'returning' saxophonist (after 20 years when I played alto in marching band) and am currently taking lessons on alto. I don't want to spend tons of money until I become more proficient. Thanks for the help!

I was about to reply at length to your basic question, but let me just say it might be best not to limit your tenor options to these two choices. There are many others in that price range you should consider. I'm sure other SOTW members will provide their preferences, but after going all over the map chasing what you are now looking for, and having a similar background as you, I settled on my current Selmer SA80 Serie I and it provides much greater satisfaction than any other I tried, and I got it for less than $1800.
