LOL

Paid $30 for a New York Meyer mouthpiece. She ain't perfect looking, but man does it play. I'm really thinking about keeping it instead of selling, but I"ve been entertaining offers anyways. The "electric guitar, drums" store that happens to sell old student saxes had no clue what it was worth. They thought it was a used current production Meyer (not that they know there are vintage models anyways).

Think I got a good deal on this one?

Which model is it? Match it up with the pictures on Theo's site.

As much as I can tell, it's an Early Model New York USA 4MM Meyer mouthpiece. However, I can't be totally sure, as Theo's site doesn't provide pictures of the early and later models....or the insides rather....which make them so different.

It is in my opinion from his descriptions that it is an early model. But I could be wrong.

Lucky time for me too, I found mine for 25$ canadian. it's an old Meyer NY no usa, 4M small chamber but it was very corroded. I send it to Mojo so he reface it to the original facing spec of the fifty (#4= .070 inch) plus he open a bit the chamber to be close to he medium. I can tell you that he doen't take out the richness of the piece, now it fly from the bottom to the top. Keith is a great refacer.
