To anyone who's examined both close up: What in your opinion accounts for the $100 difference between the Bam New Tech and Hi Tech cases? Is the New Tech that much worse?

Doesn't the new tech have a tweed effect finish and the hi tech is like the baritone case, a silver finish? There were photos of both on here at one time.

The HighTech is like the Bari Case, it is a harder shell case. The NewTech is a Softer Case, like the back/bottom (dull finish) side of the BAM Softpack cases.
The HighTech comes in both the brushed aluminum and tweed finishes. The NewTech also has the cloth fabric pocket on the outside of the case.
I am attaching both detailed descriptions and photos below.
HIGHTECH Alto Saxophone case - HIGHTECH Tenor Saxophone case
These two models with their trendy design, halfway between the shaped case and the oblong case, have been created for musicians eager to find a very light and protective case. Made with the Hightech process, the shell is constructed of a sandwich structure with an Airex core. The insert is made of a single block of injected foam ensuring a good hold of the instrument and excellent protection. Two comfortable neoprene backpack traps are located in an external pocket where additional little accessories can be fitted as well. Closed by two soft touch black latches, the case also features a bi-material handle developed for Samsonite. Two finishes available: Brushed Aluminum (A) or Tweed (T) Alto Ref: 4101XL A or T Tenor Ref: 4102XL A or T

REASON FOR THE HIGHER COST OF THE HIGHTECH
The Airex foam is a fantastic material but extremely expensive which is why we have decided to launch these new cases in the Newtech version, as we did for the string instruments cases. The Newtech case is made of a sandwich structure with an Airex skeleton versus the Hightech case that has a full core of Airex.
Newtech Alto Saxophone case - Newtech Tenor Saxophone case
The thermoformed shell is made of a charcoal grey soft touch elastomer ABS, reinforced with an Airex skeleton. On the front side of the case is a large pocket made of neoprene and reflective fabric, with two compartments for sheet music, accessories, etc… Two comfortable anti-slip neoprene backpack straps are located in another pocket on the backside of the case where additional little accessories can be stored. A water resistant cover is tucked in a front pocket for rainy days. The insert, made of a single block of injected foam, ensures a good hold of the instrument as well as providing excellent protection. Alto Ref: 4101 NP Tenor Ref: 4102 NP

Hope this helps. Has anyone been able to actually order and receive these cases yet in the states?
