I recently purchased a Morgan 3C for classical alto. I generally like the sound better than the one I get on my S80 C*, but the #4 blue box Vandorens feel soft on the 3C. I'd just go up to a 4.5 or 5, but is that normal for this mouthpiece to have to use such hard reeds? Should I get the tip opened?
Also, does anyone know who would fix a Morgan tenor piece? Dropped it on a tile floor and a corner is gone.
Thanks for the help.

I'm oke using #3's on both alto and tenor with the 3C piece(also coming from C* with #3's), works just fine, the Morgan does give some easier feel while playing compared to the C*.
As for the tenor piece, maybe EZ or Mojo can be of some help. Just check the forum to find them.

A Morgan is a very different kind of piece than a C*. Give it some time before you start changing things around a lot.
As far as harder reeds go, I believe that that the Morgan 3C is very slightly less open than a Selmer C* facing, but I could be wrong...it's a more free blowing piece though so it may take a bit of time for your chops to get used to it.
