For lack of a better place to ask these questions, may I know when fellow SOTWers transact using Paypal, what accounts do you have with Paypal (if you do not have a business) - Personal or Premium? I understand that Premium allows credit card payment by the buyer and there is a fee asscociated with it. I guess if you have a Personal account, the buyer will have to have a Paypal account to transfer the fund to the seller and will be a more tedious process? Does this also mean that if you have a Paypal account and you have bought something, sending the money to the seller will be free of fees?
I am new to Paypal transaction hope you can help me understand. Thanks.

Sending money to the seller is free. Getting money directly from someone's checking account is free with the Personal account. However, if you want to receive payments from a credit card, then you have to sign up for the Premium account, for which Paypal charges you 3% of each receipt. The crappy thing is that they take the 3%, even if the transfers are from a checking account, once you become a Premium member.
Do you know whether you can revert to a personal account from premium status?

I use the personal account and it works great. I am not sure if you can revert though?

Actually you can revert back to a personal account but it isnt easy to find, and you can only do it once - so be sure its what you want to do.
The way I found it was just click on 'help' and type in 'downgrade account' and it will provide a link for how to accomplish the downgrade.
