Need help

Need help.

My friend wants to learn to play tenor. He is not a musician.
I'm a guitarist and used to play some brass (trumpet and trombone).
I know no saxophonists to cosult with.

We have picked up the horn (it is cheap used German sax, most reasonable thing for a beginner in our country).

I still have some questions, Will I be able to check the horn?

I mean do they sell it with all the equipment? If not then what kind of reeds and mouthpiece should I use?

What damages are the most typical for the used tenors?
And where could I find the fingering and basics for playing sax?
