Anyone had any experience with this guy? He's from L.A. and has had a few new, unplayed Selmer S-80, Serie II altos w/ engraved bells, case, cover, mpc, etc up for a "buy-it-now" price of $1975. I haven't seen anything close to that price in the US or Europe.

Hey, I bought a Yani A901 from him - got it this week! Sweeeeet! As advertised. I know his descriptions are somewhat terse, but it was "pristine and never played" like he said. Easy paypal transaction. Anyway, that was my experience. Good luck.

Glad your purchase went well. Yesterday he had a Selmer Serie III for $2100 - also pristine and new... and $700-1000 less than the market. Any idea how he does it? His feedback is very positive and it also appears that musical instruments aren't his only items.

He has another series III alto out on ebay now. He's got a buy it now for 2100 on this one also. I wonder if it's the same one?

I saw that one, too. Can't figure the guy out. His feedback is extensive and very positive, but you can't get a straight answer from him when you ask specific questions. There's something that sets off my BS detector. Last I checked, no one had put in a minimum bid of $1950 for a new, engraved Series III - maybe its not just me.

I actually emailed him and offered 2000. He agreed but only if no one places a bid. I don't think I'm gonna go for it. Too risky. If I don't like the horn I'll be stuck with it. And your right he's very short with his emails.
