What's good sax enthusiasts? I unfortunately had my Conn Alto sax stolen recently (two weeks ago today). It was basically my first sax and of the joy of playing has left me now that it is gone. I'm in Maryland in the vacinity of Bowie if anyone sees or hears anything. I will also post the serial number in a bit. Thanx in advance for all the help.

Sorry to hear that friend. Post a serial number and some model/finish/case information so everyone will know it if (when!) they see it.

DayDreamin': I assume you made a police report, including the serial number?! DAVE

Yeah, but I didn't get the serial # on the report until a week later. It's 7108733. Its a fairly new instrument with few scratches (from marching band), and had a marching band player etched into the bell (I'm not sure what model it was). It was in an beat up all black hard case with a small blue Conn emblem on the bottom right corner on the front. It had a $30 metrenome in the case, brand new box of reeds, neck strap, mouthpiece, and a little Conn brochure. I appreciate any help with finding my baby/mistress!

DayDreamin': Follow up with the detective assigned to the report, or at least the detective division of the department where you reported it (some cases are not assigned because there are no clues - but they are filed) to ensure the serial number has been entered into NCIC (the national database for stolen property - I am assuming you are in the U.S., but I don't know).

Then check all the local pawn shops and second-stores within a large radius of the location of the theft. Also, notify other schools in the area (their band directors) to be on the lookout for the horn. DAVE
