Can a low-pitched vintage sax be tuned to play with other modern instrument? If not, what do you do to play with others?

A low-pitched instrument is tuned to the same specifications as modern saxophones. They are pitched at A=440. These instruments may be used in an ensemble with modern horns and there will be no pitch discrepancies, minus the individual characteristics of the instrument. You must be wary of high-pitched instruments, which are pitched at A=457. Paul Cohen has demonstrated on his CD, "Vintage Saxophones Revisited" the incredible differences in pitch between the two kinds of instruments.

Eh,
low pitch IS the "modern" tuning. To play with other instruments : just play. If you have a high pitch and want to play with other instruments: buy a low pitch.

Thanks!
I thought low-pitched is lower than modern pitch. That clears things up.
Now I can dab into vintage sop. :)
