Who robbed whom? Tbone or Brother Ray?

I was listening to Duke Robillard's Tbone Walker tribute cd today and I heard one of my favorite horn charts being played on the wrong song! So who robbed whose charts: Tbone Walker on "Hard Way," or Ray Charles on "Mary Anne"?

Nobody robbed anybody! Those horn lines were not exactly groundbreaking. The rhumba beat that they were set to was a little more eclectic for the style, but the lines were old news - the tune goes way back before either of these guys ... I don't have the CD in front of me, but I believe 'Hard Way' goes back to the early 40's and was not an original T-Bone Walker tune. At least, he didn't write it. A lot of the Ray Charles stuff that was supposedly written by one of the Ertegun kids were not originals either - they stole from the true kings of the music (such as Lightnin Hopkins) more often than not. Love the intro to 'Mess Around'? It's a great Professor Longhair intro that he never got credit for.
