I was searching for LA soprano sax and found, probably, the finish is "Kamelion", anyone know what it is? I know LA sax have lots of colorful finishes and I don't want it happen to be one!
Thank you,
Kenny.

It's a weird looking finish :) Don't know if I'm gonna buy it or not when I have enough $$$... Thanks Gary.
Kenny.

I did check out and play one of those tenors just recently. That kamelion finish is really odd. Depending on the light it looks purple or green-ish. I did not like it much. Compared to the alto I bought a year before this tenor the quality of assembly and finish decidedly declined. On the bow the finish felt rough like send papaer. I think the price drop on the 750 & 850 instruments has resulted in compromises.

It appears to use something like the BASF developed color-shifting paint.

It is, in fact, a color shifting paint. It's neat, but has little bearing on tone. I have a Kamelion soprano (since soprano is only about heartbreak, it may as well be pretty). I like the green tint, hate the purple. Feels like I'm communing with Barney.
