Hi,
I am interested in buying an Alto and Sop Hard Case.
Does anyone know of companies that make this product?
Thanks.:)

I have a superb one produced here in Japan by the Global corporation.
It is no longer made and is exremely nice.
If you are interested, please send me a PM with your email.
This is not a cheap case, but I believe you would be very very pleased.

Hi!
There is a company called "ortola"which make a doubling case, you can find it here http://www.saxophones.co.uk/acatalog/saxophones_co_uk_Other_Bags___Cases_93.html
I'm no expert but I bought an Ortola case for my alto, and ended up not using it as there was not a lot of padding between the sax and the "lid" so I was a bit worried that the bell might be damaged easily. That might be more my alto than the case though?

Thanks for the quick replies.
With cases like this ortola, i have found it easy to bash or hammer excess interior padding to make room for larger saxes.
My alto is a Keilwerth stencil with large bell and bow. So buying a case is difficult.
Also, what cases would people reccomend just for a sop?
Thanks,

I had a case custom made for me years ago for alto, sop, and clarinet. It ended up being too heavy and too big. I think two or three regular cases are easier to handle all at once (sop, alto, and clarinet for me) and can be fitted into a small car trunk more easily than one large multi-horn case.
My favorite straight soprano case is Pro-Tek.
I have a Buescher TH&C alto with a large bell. I bought a new Cannonball Big-Bell (Pro-tek-style) shaped case for the TH&C and it fits. DAVE
I really like the idea of wheelie-cases like those at wwbw, but for whatever reason the manufacturer doesn't seem inclined to produce a combo case for straight sopranos. I even contacted them about future plans, but they really weren't interested.

If you can find one, Walt Johnson makes a Alto/Straight Soprano double case. It's 31" long, 17" deep, and 8" high. It was double handles on the front and on one end....(same position as a Vanguard case). It's made of reinforced Fiberglass and Kevlar. It has cam lock style latches and a piano hinge spine.
It also has a shoulder/underarm strap for carying.
It's a bit bulky, but as far as "protection" goes, I don't know of ANY other case that's better.....(unless you have an anvil style case custom made).
All the best.
