I might buy a runyon 88. Are these bright or dark?

this is a very dark mpc only useful for legit styles of playing

It plays like a stock mouthpiece of a Taiwanese horn.

They are, however, more nicely made than a stock Taiwanese mouthpiece.

Instead of getting a runyon I decided to get a ria #6.

I'm using a modified 88 on bari right now. The chamber on the 88 is not that different (that I can see) than that of a custom, except the baffle has a cliff-type drop-off, whatever that's appropriately called... I took out the baffle and replaced with a long rollover sort of thing and it actually is making sounds I like, brighter and louder than the 88 or the JJ I had previously. All in the name of experimentation - dumb luck really but it wasn't an expensive piece to start with so what the heck...
