Do you think starting to play brass instruments would ruin your sax embouchre? I started to learn trumpet today and it felt a bit awkward..afterwards I went on to practise sax and my lips still felt weird from all the buzzing.

The buzzing you describle will go away ... It's caused by your lip muscles working in a different style - u must remember they are replacing your reeds in a sax. In a week or two you won't get that feeling, it's just that the muscles are breaking down and reforming ... much like body building but on a macro scale. I don't think u'll find any damage to your sax embouchure though!

I play Tuba as well as Sax and Clarinet (gee, i'm just a one man band ain't I?) and i find that for the bari sax it has actually helped me with low notes etc. so, if you play the higher saxophones, I suspect that the tight ombrasure of the trumpet might be influential to your higher notes.
Just my opinion,
Biff
