Hi there. I am interested in your upcoming Deluxe tenor and the Unison 2000 tenor which you stock. Understanding that your Deluxes won't be available until next month, how do you think these two horns will differ in design and sound?

It sounds like both of these horns are going for a more focused, warmer sound than a more open Yani-like sound. Is this accurate?

Our Kessler Custom horns typically are a little more open in tone. The Deluxe models will be a richer overall tone but still retaining that open aspect.

The Unison 2000 is a much bigger, warmer & more complex tone then my horn is. Tonally, the Unison 2000 is the better horn, but it better be for the extra price.

Both horns have great intonation & ergonomics. Response is great on both. It simply comes down to sound, and thats where the Unison 2000 is the winner.

We (myself and all the guys in my shop) believe that the Unison 2000 is the absolute best horn coming out of Taiwan. It is, in my opinion, the first True professional Taiwanese sax on the market. Yes I know there can be plenty of debate about this. But with all of the other Taiwanese saxes, as good as they are, we dont feel that they truly compete with the professional horns from the "Big 4", like the Yanagisawa 901 for example. The Unison 2000 is the first horn that we feel plays up to the caliber of the Professional saxes.
