As I play the P more I'm noticing that I have to adjust my hand position to "find"
the palm D. I can get it bent but even with palm risers I don't like it as much as the Yamaha Palm placement. Also, I picked up another Ponzol M2 120 and it fattens the P up so that it reminds me of the big sound I got on my YTS 62 and The Martin tenors. But I still like my P> K

Hi Keith,
I have the same problem with most horns. Having long fingers can be a pain on an old "Chu" alto. My martin tenor isn't as bad, but still, it's not perfect. I'm either having to come off the upper stack to play the palm keys, or I'm coming off the lower stack to play the side keys.
I finallyd decided that enough was enough and built up the palm and side keys on both horns. I'm happier than a dog with two bones now. Suddenly I can get on with playing instead of fighting the horn. Should have done it ages ago.
My old YTS-62 had terrific palm and side key placement. Those horns just about play themselves.
On my Martin and Conn, I used the slide on rubber risers. I built them up further by glueing on more rubber. Then secured the lot with heat shrink tubing. Not pretty but it works very well and doesn't damage the finish on the horn.
