Hi,
I have no desire to re-open the can of worms around this saxophone....
But, I am looking to buy one and wondered if anyone had advice about the likely purchase cost of a good condition, well adjusted Voldemort Unison Tenor?
Thanks for any constructive replies......

They are a GOOD horn... they were just too pricey new in my opinion.
Keep in mind what a new Unison 2000 can be had for (the 2000 is basically the same horn but without all the extra junk on it). I sell the Unison 2000 alto at $1495 and tenor at $1795 brand new.

Dave,
Thanks for the information. My teacher has suggested that I try a number of saxophones before deciding and he has a very strong bias towards the Ref 54.....
BTW the Unison did not sell and only reached $600 which was below it's reserve.

If you can afford the Reference, by all means. They are great horns. The alto we feel the Reference is unreal. On tenor, were prefer the 36 over the 54 but this personal preference.
The Keilwerth SX90R-NS Solid Nickel Silver horn on Tenor really is an impressive animal and worth taking a look at.
