I have recently come across an unusual alto sax by Carl Fischer. It has a patent license of December 8, 1914. It's silver plated. The unusual thing about it, though, is the fact that it's an alto sax, but the neck is curved like a tenor sax. Has anyone else seen one like this? I've been all over eBay, and have yet to see another one. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Are you sure it's not a c-melody - they are only a little bigger than altos, and most have tenor-like necks. C-mels are about 27" curve to curve.

You're right; it is a little bigger. I never noticed. Well, that explains a lot! Thanks!
