I got a Lawton P chamber soprano metal MPC before, it has very rich dark sound. The best combination for me is Java 2.5. It just too small (6*), not for long-run purpose & I trade it with other sax thing. Now, I'm interest to get another Lawton soprano MPC.

I wonder how much difference of their B Chamber sound compare with P Chamber. I know B chamber is brighter than P but does it sound very sharp?

How does it compare with Dukoff & Beechler in brightness? Brilliance sound is nice but I hate too bright, which hurt my ear too bad (SMT Link soprano MPC exactly what I mean).

The B chamber can still sound rich and lush, it has more cut than a P chamber.

I play a Lawton 9B--it is not as bright as my DukoffD8, but has a broader tone throught range of horn-and is easier to play. Much less resistance than a Yanigasawa 9

Could you please explain what's the meaning of "broader tone throught range of horn" ?

What soprano & reed you use on your Lawton 9B ?

Does your Lawton is a brass Gold plate, brass Silver Plated or Stainless Steel (Surgical) ?
