hey folks,
I just buyed the album "wildflower" by hank crawford and I am amazed.
It is just unbelievable!!!!
This guy plays so soulfoul, so expressive!!!
He does not need many noted to say what he wants to say...

Do you know some of his other albums? Which one features mainly ballads?

sanborn,
Crawford really digs into blues and ballads, that's his thing. He's one
of my favorites too. If you want to play blues on alto, he's a great
player to study. Like you said, lots of soul.

I'd recommend "After Dark", or if you want a compilation, "Low Flame, High
Heat" is a good one. Any of the quartet/quintet sides with Jimmy McGriff
will do too. Some are under McGriff's name.
