:?: I have this old Silver Alto King, Serial #54945 which puts it in the late 1910's and early 20's. My problem is, it doesn't tell me what brand it is. It just says King, made by HN White Co. Clevand Oh and etc... Can anyone tell me what lines of altos where they making during that time??

Back then I think they only made the model you have. The Voll-tru came about 10 years later and the Zephyr was in the 30s and the Super 20 after the war.

Hi there, I have a "New Series" serial number 60443 (just above yours) from around 1924. These horns were known by this name from that time period. Never heard of a silver one though - cool.

Hey there, found your sax (a few serial numbers older) on the web - go to http://www.worldwidesax.com/photo.htm and scroll down to the 13th sax and there it is. So, the silver ones were around. 8)
