I would like to let all of you players know that Santy's "Suggestion For Woodwind Players" booklet is now available on Charlie A's www.gigdust.com site.

This booklet gives you information known mostly only by the masters of the sax! Santy, a great innovator and teacher, surmised and proved a lot of ideas about playing a woodwind instrument that others have had no knowledge of. He has made this booklet available for us to make it available to you --the players that need it.

The booklet is very inexpensive but worth a fortune. It will give you simple knowledge about putting together the proper combination of reed/mouthpiece/embouchure pressure to make you instrument respond equally well in all registers as well as addressing many other topics such as "Squeaks", "Gurgling Notes", "High and Low Note Production", and "Vibrato". Using a simple exercise can let you determine if your current sound production setup (mouthpiece-reed) is correct for you or is it wrong for you and is working you to death trying to make a setup play that is just not right for you? It will explain why you have to make unnecessary mouthpiece adjustments to play the different registers in tune instead of just using ONE basic embouchure to achieve this. It will tell you reasons for not getting the necessary response in all registers that you should get without having to change your embouchure characteristics.
Take a look at an article I will soon have on my web site and it will give you some idea as to what is contained in this dynamic booklet.
