I'm still looking for a quality horn that is a step up from my student Bundy II. Someone stole my Selmer Paris which was a gift and I can't afford a new one.
Does anyone know anything about these Grassi horns and if they are worth buying? I've run across one actually two, at two diffrent places in my town (charlotte) and am trying to decide whether to buy one.
I posted recently about a buescher 'crat that I found and was so excited about....it turned out to be the Aristocrat 200. I've not heard anygood comments on that horn either. It actually looked almost exactly like my bundy!

The Buescher 200 is a student horn. Buescher was purchased by Selmer in 1963. The Buescher Aristocrat continued it's fall from the pro horn ranks and quickly became the Bundy.

These are nice student horns but not at all what you are looking for.

What are you looking to spend on a new horn? Have you considered going the vintage route?

Yes, since I've been on this site, the vintage route sounds real sweet to me. I'm trying to stay under 900 bubks, but It's kinda hard to find a good Aristocrat. also, I'm kinda wary on buying horns off of the internet, cause I like to play them first. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good vintage horn, or a good trusted source for vintage horns on the web, that won't clean out my bank account.

Alto (which I would guess is the case considering the Topic) or Tenor?

If alto, send me an e-mail I have a horn you might be interested in.
