A definitive cure for hiccups?

A few months ago I developed a nasty case of hiccups. :cry: I tried various cures all to no avail. Then in my desperation, I started to circular breath through a straw and glass of water (I normally use a vintage bari, but hey, neccesity is the mother of invention).

Hiccups cured, 30 seconds, full stop. 8)

I've tried it several times since, and circualr breathing cures the darned things EVERY TIME, without fail, and always within 60 secs or so.

The problem is, I don't know anyone else out here in rural England who can circular breath, so I am unable to get independent verification of my theory. Can anyone out there help?

I believe he said he had them a few months ago, and has tried it several times since 8)
