Has anyone had some recent experiance with recorder software, the kind that can record anything playing on your sound card? Like many of the ones listed here:

There are just too many listed and no way to know which ones are garbage or good? Any recomendations?

Can you share what your hoping to be able to do with the software?

Audacity is a free progam that works well.

Are you looking to do multi track mixing and recording? Just add a sax track to audio?
