Just bought a tenor SR Fusion mp from an ad on this forum. It did not come with a ligature. Anybody got a recommendation? - make, model, size?

Thanks

SR Techs come new with Rovner Evo-5 ligatures; or at least one that I bought last year did. Not a bad combo, as long as the bars are over the reed. You can go to the Rovner site (rovnerproducts.com) for sizing.

My old piece came with a Rovner light lig, stock.

I play mine with a Rovner dark lig.

The Brancher non-metal ligature works great with this piece also.

I've gotten good results with silverplate Selmer 404....I add a mouthpiece patch to the top of the inside of the ligature for a tight fit when the screws are turned. I prefer that to using the Selmer made for metal alto because to me having a larger area of the reed secured makes for more clarity in the sound.

Just put a Rovner L-12 (light) on mine. Perfect fit. I'm really liking this piece, especially on my Mark VII. I wish the shank bore was a little larger. It's significantly smaller than all my other pieces, and the neck cork is thoroughly crushed.
