Need reed suggestions

I've got a MEyer 7m on its way. I have been playing on a Runyon Quantum 8 with a 2.5 java or v16. I've been buying singles from the local store, because I don't know what I want to spend my money on. I'd like to try a box or 2 of reeds for this new piece. My runyon was too bright for me and although it was quite open I was ok with it and a 2.5 reed. I played the stock piece that came with my alto and its opening is quite a bit closer. I am more comfortable with it. Anyways, what reeds would be good to start off with?

Is it a tenor mpc? If yes, I'd try a Alexander DC #3.
If, it is an alto one, I'd try a Rigotti 2.5. (I love Rigotti with Meyer on alto)

Vandoren ZZ's dont work too well with it, vandoren classics work well with it. And javas. Try around 2/2.5/3
