Buescher Aristocrat serials

I've been reading a lot of positive stuff on the Aristocrat sax. I've found one for under $250 and reeeeeeaally wanna buy it. However the serial on it perplexes me. It has the "big B" on the front but the serial number is 4125XXXXX. and I can't find any info on that serial or the years that it was made. Can anyone help!

Check out the various aristrocrats at www.saxpics.com. The horn you are looking at should match up with one of the horns he has photos of at the site. Keep in mind that the Aristrocrats went through many changes during the run. IMHO, the later Aristrocrsats with the vertical Buescher logo aren't as good as the earlier models. The ones that came even later are very nice student horns.
