I just palyed on the stock mpc that came with the horn and want something that plays similar to it. I like the ease of playing it. I am trying to close out a deal on a Meyer 7m or 5m, not sure which. But I think I want a more closed piece, currently playing on a Runyon 8.
Anyone know anything about it?

i just got the soprano and agree that the stock piece is a decent playing and easy to play piece. I ordered the morgan vintage 6 with it and find it plays very nicely although a bit more open and offers more flexibility in tone colors

Here is a reply from Roger Greenberg regarding the stock mpc.
Thanks for your purchase of a PMXT-67R P. Mauriat Alto Saxophone. The
mouthpiece that comes with it is just a stock mouthpiece, actually made by
an American company. I'm not sure it was modeled from anything. Most stock
mouthpieces are starter mouthpieces, and most saxophonists then get a pro
mouthpiece based on their own playing style. The opening on the P. Mauriat
stock mouthpiece is a small-medium opening. I'm sorry that I don't have
exact measurements.

could you post a picture of it?

I know Runyon has made stock mpcs for a lot of companies, would be curious if it was one of theirs.

It's a square chamber as well.

the soprano mouthpiece looks nothing like the tenor piece so perhaps they are different companies, the soprano piece is quite odd

I believe it is the stock Babbitt plastic piece.
