Yamaha YBS-52 & 32

Are these bari saxes the same? Overseas retailers list the 32 rather than the 52, domestic retailers list the 52. Different #'s for the same sax, or what's the difference?

Well, i know of a story of one of the best sax players in the UK.

He tried out a 32 and a 62 bari, and then said that the 32 was better because of a much cheaper price, and minimal noticeable difference in the bari's.

I'd go with the cheaper one.

Do all the Yamaha baris have the triple vent octave mechanism?

I know the 62 and 52 do, but I don't know about the 32.....

OK, I checked. The 32 has the triple vent octave mechanism also....

Guys, the 52 is the US name for that model. The 32 is the overseas name for it. Similar to the YTS-52 and YTS-32. They are just different names for the same sax.
