I've really got too many instruments, and I need to find homes for some of them. This is one very unusual Buffet. Buffet apparently made a few of these as limited edition jazz clarinets. I got that information from Francois Kloc, so if you know Buffets very well, that name will be meaningful to you. The clarinet was made in 1974, which is in one of Buffet's better s/n ranges (F144XXX). The tuning on the clarinet was targeted at the European market, and is therefore tuned to 442-444. However, I've not had difficulty playing in A440 settings. Not many hours on premium overhaul. The bell on this clarinet was cracked, but was repaired without the need for pins. Pictures available.
