I'm going back to the states for a couple of weeks at the end of July, and I'm wanting to get some work done on a couple of MPCs I have. I there any reputable MPC techs in the San Diego area? Does anyone know what their general charge is for working on a HR MPC?

Thanks... I found out about a guy in Mission Viejo. I don't relly want to go up to L.A. if I can... driving around there is such a hassle!

Hey Dig, do you know any good places in S.D. (or closer than L.A.) to find mpcs? I'm kind of interested in trying out some Runyon, Jody Jazz, and a couple of metal mpcs. Do you know a few places that might have things like that in stock? I heard Oceanside Music has a few vintage mpcs...

Hey mr00420-

Did the guys at Saddleback Horn Improvement say they would do the mp work for you? Just so I know for future reference. If they did, I am sure you will be satisfied with their work

Griggsy, I'm not going to S.D. until 7/27, so I haven't spoken w/ them. I live in Japan, so I'm not going to call them until I get there. If you know their email address I'll drop them a line....

mr, where in Japan? I used to live in Kyushu and Osaka in the early '90's...

I too, plan to check out the folks in Mission Viejo ... there really isn't anything down here in SD. It's a rock guitar town.

I've been in Nagoya the last two years, and Chiba-ken (near Narita) the year before that. I recall a few SOTW memebers from S.D. saying there was more Avant Garde music going down around there (like Cosmologic (?)) but when I was there three years ago, I didn't hear about anything that wasn't Blink 182, Limp Bizkt, Rocket from the Crypt, and other ilk of surf/punk-pop... and I should have known otherwise since I was working at Lou's Records. There wasn't any real music going down that wasn't coming through town on tour. What's it like now?
