Well if its a conn sax then its a later one sold as a conn from who ever owned the name at the time. Personally i wouldn't be interested especially at that price because you could buy a 6m RTH horn for that price

There's not near enough info about it to make an informed judgement, IMO, and it reminds me of another thread that discussed the abuse of the term, "Mint." My initial reaction is that it's over-priced, regardless of what local technicians maintain. But, I could be wrong about that.
You need the serial number, more and better photos, and answers to some questions like are there any dents, dings, scratches, or repairs? Does it have RTH? What is the condition of pads, felts and corks? Does it play easily down to low Bb? (He played it in school.) How is the intonation?
Of course, any question with a possible answer of yes or no most likely will result in the choice favorable to the instrument, and the sale. The case looks great, but you wouldn't be playing the case.
There's a possibility, I think, that this is nickel-plated, not silver. Shined nickel-plated Conn's look great, but they are nickel, not silver, and some might say have an appearance that is easier to maintain.
These are just some things that would be going through my mind if considering bidding on this horn.

Dave,
I really appreciate your comments. You don't need to worry about me, I don't think to bid on this saxophone. I asked the question because it seems to be a rare model, I never saw one like this one. Conn did strange thinks in the past like the 92, 94, 108 and 110M models.

I saw that one too and I thik it may be one of the Asian one. At any rate, I can't consider this to be a $300 horn much less that price he is asking.
Luis, I see you bidding on about everything I look at I think you are smart to bid as sometimes you may get something that nobody sees. I have been the only bidder and won some really nice things! I guess your biggest problem is people who don't export.

So, you're the Luis who always asks if the seller will ship to Argentina. How about that? It wasn't until Bruce pointed out your seemingly unceasing attempts to bid on saxes and ask sellers to ship to Argentina that I made the connection. Are you a dealer?

I'm a saxophone player, a collector, a dealer and also a repair man. I'm a big fan of the american vintage saxophones and I try to learn about them everyday.
I use to ask the sellers about shipping to Argentina because most of them are willing to ship to other countries but didn't keep it in mind when write the auction info.

Luispa,
If you keep collecting at the rate you're going, you'll catch up with me, then you will no doubt need help with an addiction!;)

I only have about a dozen altos, it's the 50+ flutes that are killing me.

I have an entire spare bedroom plus it's walk in closet FILLED to the brim with my collection. I could use another wing on my house to hold all of the things I'm interested in and collect.
This is difficult to manage as I don't want to get rid of any of it, but also like things neat and orderly. A real catch 22.

I'll say.... the biggest catch is a wife that lets you do all this. I'm suprised she hasn't given you the "honey you can really only play one instrument at a time" speech yet :)
however, when my better half pulls this on me, I counter with "baby you can really only wear one pair of shoes at a time" .... works like a charm

My bedroom is really big and I have all there. Now I'm planning to move with my girlfriend to a small apartment. I'm already think about which ones to take with me and which ones to leave in my parents house. Anyway, the apartment is not to far (a half hour).

Bruce,
You're right but I don't need to make this comparision because my girlfriend is really comprehensive about my saxophones because she also play saxophone. The only weak point she has is the saxophone she uses: YAS 62. I'm trying to convice she about to use a vintage sax. My girlfriend and me play together in the same big band.

I've been blessed too as my GF is one of the top flute players in the state and being in the flute business, I always have a "tester" for what I make. I once had a GF that played T-bone and I asked her why she chose that instrument and she said that all the cute guys played T-bone.
