I'm in the process of updating my office. I wondered if anyone has any good suggestions for paintings, posters, etc.. of saxophones or people playing saxophone.

I've been doing the same thing, and came up with a mix of photographs and art deco posters.
For photographs, there's the classic pic of Dexter smoking a cigarette, wearing a porkpie hat, holding his horn on his lap. I think the photographer is Herman Leonard, who has a lot of great photos of sax players and other musicians. I got lucky and found a calendar with his pix on it, and was able to cut out the pix and have them matted and framed.
If you're looking for posters, try searching for art deco jazz posters. Some places I found are www.vintagearte.com, www.allaboutjazz.com, and www.jmdietz.com.
Good luck, have fun!

I know this is a very old thread, but I was hoping someone might know where I can get what I'm looking for. I have a print of a John Coltrane at the Village Vanguard and it is directly printed on wood. It was a gift and I believe it might have come from a store like Marshals or TJ Maxx, not completely sure. I am looking for a charlie parker print like this. I know it exists, because I have seen it in person, but it's been a while. It's the Charlie Parker Quintet poster. It's almost identical to the Coltrane poster in it's look. I have only found this print as a paper poster and the wood "transfers" I have seen are far more expensive than I know this poster should be. It's mass produced and I know the Coltrane poster couldn't have been much more than $25. Anyone know any place online or a brick store I can go get the Parker poster. Maybe I'm wrong and it is expensive and I didn't know the Coltrane print was a pricey gift... Trying to decorate my office. Any help would be appreciated.
