Just out of curiousity I tried a Alexander Superial 3 on my older Antigua alto and to my surprise I loved the sound. I was able to rip through a few scales, the low notes popped out with ease. Much easier than with Vandoren Java and V16's. I would actually consider using tenor reeds moreso than alto reeds.
