Saw some advertising on the neotech website with pictures of a new product a sling that goes over the left shoulder similar to the spinstrap idea but the other shoulder looks great ??

Check out the spin strap story
The Medical Research supports what players have been telling us for years. One physiological and biomechanical evaluation of the SPINSSTRAP was conducted by Dr. E. R. Buskirk and Joseph L. Loomis, P. I. at the Noll Laboratory for Human Performance of Penn State University.
The study compared the SPINSTRAPto conventional straps with regard to force and pressure distribution on the shoulder and back, electromyograph activity of selected muscles, and even heart rate. Overall improvement in all these parameters was noted when using the SPINSTRAP. Read more at:

I custom made a shoulder harness years ago and see neotech have just brought out the same thing. These do much alleviate sore necks. :Rant2:

Looking at these and having tried most sorts I would recommend you test drive one of these for a while first. You will find a harness much better for tenor.

I too use a harness, after 4 wheeling, snowmachining, and jetsking, my neck would be tired from the helmet and jerking and when I got my III, it bothered me to play a regular strap, so I got a harness.

Some of the harnesses totally suck, but I think it would be safe to say that the neotech harness is probably the best, also used as a stencil under UMI. Nothing wrong has ever happened to mine, it has always worked perfectly.

"The new Neo sling has it been tried ?"
I've had one for about 5 weeks now. It took a while to get used to. I use it for both alto and tenor. It requires little adjusment between either horn, which I like. I forgot to take it to a rehersal last week and had to use my regular strap on alto. I'll never forget it again, I'm sold!
I called some local shops, contacted wwnbw and Saxquest and nobody had any in stock. I had to call and order directly from Neo-Tech.
