My position is that eBay is eBay and SOTW is SOTW. We cannot administer the consistency of user names between them. The (allowed) SOTW usernames will get taken on first come basis.

However, because this appears to have become an issue, I will try to contact all the folks involved.

If you wish to comment on Selmerfudd, there is a thread (http://saxontheweb.myforums.net/viewtopic.php?t=105) currently listed in the eBay Experiences (http://saxontheweb.myforums.net/viewforum.php?f=85) topic.

I've spoken with both Saxmanpete and the person posting here as "Selmer Fudd". "Selmer Fudd" has agreed to change his SOTW username to "Berg Larceny" -- I've already made this change.

The "Selmer Fudd" name and variations thereof are currently locked out.

Additionally, I've asked Harri to make the following policy effective (it's not yet):

There is no possible way that SOTW management can ensure that your SOTW username is the same as the one on (insert name here: eBay, Yahoo, MSN, etc.): SOTW usernames are assigned on a first-come, first served basis.

HOWEVER, if you are well-known on a certain service by a certain name and you find that a different SOTW member has that name, we invite you to send the moderator(s) and administrator an e-mail to make your case for 'ownership' of that name.
