So after all my griping and complaining, I got email from a great salesman at the WWBW to discuss the problems they've had with the warehouse move, and then offered me the $20 off plus free shipping. Problem was, it takes it off of the dealer cost, and since I play Alexanders, there's not a whole lot of markup, so i had to get 4 tins and got $10 off and am going to do the same for my next order. I will say that they were VERY helpful, explained the situation and did everything they could to (successfully) earn my business. Just wanted to say thank you to the WWBW.

good to hear.
My belief has always been that a good vender isn't judged by the transactions that goes off perfectly, but by how they respond to the ones that doesn't.

Haven't had that bad of an experience with wwbw. Recently ordered a whole bunch of stuff. An old fashioned metronome got kind of squashed under something heavy in the box (bad packing), well wwbw sent a return material tag adn they are sending the new one. Ordered a couple of mike stands, when we got them, they didn't have the clip doodads that actually hold the mike, wife didn't want them then, returned for a refund.
It doesn't seem that they have any reeds, I ordered clar, b. clar, a sax, t sax and b sax reeds all on back order until some time in Nov.
This is the first time ordering anything besides reeds from wwbw.

Well I've been ordering stuffs from WWBW for over 2 years already, lots of stuffs, and never have had a problem with them... Probably I'm just one of their "lucky" customers :)

I bought a new $1500 sax from WWBW. The sales staff was helpful and courteous but lacked some key knowledge. They called back later with more info. The shipping time was quick. When the horn was delivered I was horrified:shock: that it was just flopping around in a big box with a few airbags. Luckily the sturdy case worked and my new sax played fine right out of the box, almost. I discovered a tiny leak at low B and fixed it by clamping overnite. I called to offer some feedback and they were receptive and polite. This was about 3 weeks ago. If I were to do it again I might go with Kessler or Scimonetti (bought a horn from them before, very good experience). WWBW could be great if they just tried a little harder.

FWIW, I placed four multiple-item orders with WWBW between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Three were online, one by phone. No problems with any of them.

I've been doing great for the last few years with WWBW, except for the dark period of this July-September. 8-)

I ordered some little stuff earlier this month (regular shipping). They used to be really good about posting the tracking number as soon as it shipped. I kept checking the shipping status and it said "shipping now" for about a week. On the 7th day (5 business days), as I was checking it and getting the same message, the doorbell rang, and it was the Fedex guy. I think their systems are still somewhat flakey, or else they didn't do a good job training their users during the conversion.
