As we grow our instruments for a student someone suggested a Blessing model B202 alto as a good beginner instrument. Any experience with this brand? I know them as a brass mfg. but note info. on their woodwinds. I'm sure it is sourced by them vs. their own production...I see on their website a soporano, alto, and tenor all as student horns. Feedback about this brand/model is appreciated. Thanks! :)

Tried one and i found that if you inserted the mpc in a cardboard box it sounded better then the sax.

Thanks for the input. No doubt why not much on this Forum about them. The need to be a careful consumer isn't only with no name products on e-Bay from unknown sellers. :hmph:

I worked ag Blessing in the 70s and we made our brass horns (and made them for other companies) but all of the woodwinds were bought outside. I suspect the horn you mention is the same old $150 horn from China. You can do better.

I have a 10 year old blessing i have used for 5 years and it's fine to me, but I haven't played any other sax so I might just be used to it.
