I want to try out some mouthpieces for my alto SA80II. And lazy as I am i'd like to know what mpc's the SA80II users here are playing on. I know tone depends a lot on embouchure, but i'd like to know anyway.
Now I use a Selmer s-80 C* wich came with the horn. I also have an Otto Link 7 (metal tone master) but it's just a bit too small to fit my cork. (can't get it tuned)
The reason I want to try other mpc's is to see what it does to the sound. You can't appreciate something if you never tried it. So a bit of experimenting won't hurt.
I'm not looking for the real jazzy sound, as I play in a windband. So a nice warm round tone will do the job. The C* is nice and soft, but misses a bit of character (might be me!)

Selmer soloist? I used one right now (on a series III) and to me it has a more lyrical sound than the C*. I'd suggest a D, as you can get a little more projection when you need it (solos, etc)
