I wanted to order a mouthpiece and lig from WWBW to be sent to Singapore. But, when I checked the shipping charges, it amounted to $26. This is about 2/3 of my purchases ($35)!!!

I personally find the shipping charges to be too high for such small items. I had previously ordered bigger items from the US (other online stores) and the charges were much lower.

That's ridiculous - I would give them a call & see what they can do for you. Sometimes ordering stuff online has its negative aspects.

Well, tried calling them. The sales guy refused to compromise, he said that he doesn't run the shipping service and it was sort of like take it or leave it....oh man!

Leave it. I absolutely WILL NOT order from merchants who are obviously padding their profit margin by charging unreasonable Shipping and handling charges. This can reach a ridiculous all time high on Ebay, where it is not just over charging, it's an out and out scam.

I had exactly the same problem with them a few years ago. Their costs of sending something to Canada are also totally out of line. All their international shipping charges are crazy.

Because of these outrageous shipping costs, and the very poor customer service I encountered everytime I tried ordering something, I refuse to buy anything from them anymore.

It seems to me that people either love 'em, or hate 'em. I know which camp I fall into.

I believe WWBW use UPS which is a very expensive service. I always ask for USPS, but some organisations believe that this service is inferior - one key consideration being tracking.

I don't understand the excessive shipping charges either. Personally, I prefer to ship everything Priority Mail and charge $5.00 for it (on eBay but not on my site as I include shipping - easier math) . If I have to ship overseas I may charge an extra five bucks depending upon where it is going. I don't think airmail to Signapore would cost more than seven to ten dollars at the most.

WWBW has a nice selection of product but their shipping prices are too much.

Well only if they have what you're ordering in stock. If they don't have all of it, they'll hold back all of your order that they do have in stock, until the rest arrives in the warehouse. At least that is what they've done with my orders everytime I did place one....But then I'm an international customer, so they are probably trying to save themselves the "extra" shipping costs...Whatever...Hate 'em :!:

I sent a Guardala metal mouthpiece to Singapore - Expedited (3 day) and insured for $500 - for $26. Regular airmail would have been around $10.

I'm guessing that some companies charge high International shipping because they'd really prefer not to ship internationally.

Yeah, I dropped the deal.

I hate them but I need to get some stuff badly. Are there any other reasonable online stores that match WWBW's selection?

Not really but there are smaller dealers that will be competitive...especially considering the absurd price to ship. What are you looking for?

I had a similar experience when I bought a golf putter from USA and had it shipped to UK.
The firm said shipping would be 'about $20' and I said "OK, but no more, just send it by post"(didn't say USPS, too close to UPS!) , but they sent it UPS anyway and wanted to charge me about $50, on top of which UPS charged me 10GBP as a 'Customs Bond' (?), another rip-off.
I refused to pay it (although I'd given my CC #, I told the CC Co I was being ripped-off)) and got it reduced to $20.
