I'm in the process of getting a Buescher stencil tenor from Junk Dude. The company name is Rocket. Clearly, from Junk Dude's pictures, the horn appears to be very similar in its keywork to a very early Aristocrat (ie, 1935). I'm curious if anyone has any information about the Rocket company name.
I'll let you know how the horn works for me. I'm getting it to be a back up for my New Aristocrat tenor.
Thanks, Roger

The Rocket arrived yesterday and my first impressions are most favorable. The metal used in the stencil is lighter than than what's in my New Aristocrat. Plus, the keywork is a mix of TT, NA, and early Aristocrat style keys. The Buescher craftman probably used whatever keys he could gather up. It has the bell keys on the left side like the Aristocrats. While the Rocket's sound is not as rich as my NA, I like the horn's sound very much as well as it's response. Clearly, this will be a fun horn to play. It's exactly what I was looking for in having a back up tenor that would be closer to the feeling of my NA.

I saw that horn on his site, looks like it had potential.
