Its a conn tenor sax and i think its a series 1 new wonder model (could be a series 2 ) have you got the serial number as this is the best way to determine its age ?
Its an old re-laquered horn ,seems to have a silver-plated neck vent key and the octave key mechanism bar is bent out but this is an easy fix also some of these horns were high pitched, lets hope you have the low pitched one. Price wise for a low pitched horn you got a good bargain.

Hi Dave....just a hint for you and everybody else..have a look at the last photo (the one above the counter)...and look closely at the sidekeys...and another one...if one zooms in at the picture of the neck...look at the oktave vent..
sorry...so far I dont have any serial number...awaiting the mail from the vendor..

Looks to me like a late Chu / early transitional Conn tenor. The neck is probably not original as it has a (probably nickel) plated octave key and the crook brace is wrong for this vintage.

Hi Jerry, thats exactly what I thought. Ergonomic Sidekeys, and the way the g# looks...more flatlike...not as rounded as the Wonder I ones.
The Neck could be the Problem..the crook brace should be longer...but then there is a lot of solder sticking out on one part....hopefully just a bad soldering-job...still a Bargain...

Hello...the Tenor has finaly arrived...its a Tranny with Art Deco engraving. Well worn Laquer, but even its battered down it still plays...what do I say...it SINGS...The crock brace is not original as well as the Octave Key but the Neck is...Serial is 249XXX.
Love it...
