Yamaha Custom 875

I have a Custom 875 Alto, it's a beautiful horn. I was wondering if anyone has played the new Yamaha line, and how does it compare? Did they stop producing the 875?

I just purchased a YAS-875EXS, but won't receive it for a few weeks. My understanding is that they did stop producing the 875's. The EX's are the replacement version.

From what I understand, the 875 was updated with a few modifications that should free up the resonation a bit, but I only saw the one they had at NAMM in January 03 and it was to similar to my 875 to make any change. It was very nice, but the older 875's are still a great option as they sort out the 82Z issues.
I play Black 875 Alto and Tenor Saxes and still love them. They work for me and keep me working.
