Dore Paris Super Artist Model

I have a Dore Paris Super Artist Model number 1001 in terrible condition. I bought it in the late sixties and it was old then. Does anyone have any information on this sax?

I have never seen any published info on them, though I have seen two examples, both silver tenors. One of them was in a repair shop when I visited and it looked stunning. The technician said it wasn't that well-made but she was int he process of getting it into a playable condition so I don't know what it sounded like. My guess is that it was from around the 1950s or thereabouts, it wasn't quite in the same league as Selmer, Buffet, Dolnet, Couesnon etc. - maybe a French made student to intermediate sax.

Oh. So it's not an incredibly valuable sax last seen years ago that everyone thought had been lost to the world. Ah well - back to work on Monday then :roll:
