What do you think about it.

On my alto 229xxx i love the orginal truetone mpc. Very sweet and full sound.

Tenor, Bari, Soprano?

My alto piece is a bit too closed off for my tastes, but I like the sound well enough. I find it to be very, very, very reed-friendly, too. That's a big plus, of course.

What I really don't like is how much it compresses my cork. It's not so tight that I'm afraid I'll crack the piece, but it does make every other piece I've got fit rather loosely.

Once you get the airstream down (big easy air) and stop trying to subtone the low notes (it can't be done), all the big chamber, ring shank Buescher mpcs give a lovely mellow deep tone on their intended horns. You can even push them for a delicate buzz if you like.
