View Full Version : Decided on Mouthpiece for SX90R Tenor

Well, the decision was actually pretty easy. I was looking for an edgy but rich sound - the Lawton BB8* with a Plasticover 3 did it for me. Also tried the Ponzol, but felt it had a more constricted sound than the Lawton. The lawton is slightly less bright (I won't say warmer) than my Barone Rock/Fusion, but it is definitely richer and easier to control throughout the whole register.

Still working on the soprano though - played the SX90II with the band and it just wasn't working - I'm going to try a Yanagisawa S-9930.
