"Bambus Sax
Shaped bamboo sax! Uses a normal tenor sax reed. Mark Meyer of Switzerland personally hand crafts each and every instrument."

Some of the cheesy Mark Meyer bamboo saxophones have not interested me but I'm sure fascinated enough to try one of these crazy toys. Anyone know of anyone in the states that sells them? I know saxophones.co.uk does but I'd like to find someone here.

Ok. Well has anyone tried ANY of these bamboo saxes? I bet they're fun.

Bet it would be more fun to break it into a 1000 pieces then put the pieces under ones finger nails.

Should that be prefaced with "confucious say" ;)

They are kind of cool, but there's no way you could seriously play one. I have an "Elephant Lightfoot" Soprano Bamboo Sax that's been sitting in our shop for at least 2 years. I just put it up on eBay for $35 min. bid if anyone is interested. Here's the eBay link:

Wasn't Tommy Chong busted for selling a "Big Bamboo" Sax?
