What are the main differences between the 900 and 901 series? (I found a used silver-plated T900 on ebay for $400 less than I'd pay for a new T901, which is why I'm wondering) Thanks!

Couldnt tell you exactly what the diffrerences were in the 2 series. I do know that it was the 901/991 series that really boosted Yani in the market place though.
Is it just me or does the neck have a weird angle in the 2nd picture? I would ask if there has been any damage to the neck.
As to the price, as long as it plays, $1400 is a good buy for that horn since a T901S would actually cost you more then $400 more then that. You can pick up a T901 in lacquer for about $1800 but I havent seen a T901S for that money in the US.

I've checked, and Yani adds $1,000 for silver plating on the 901's (yes, that's THREE zeros), so even with discounting, I'd expect to pay about $2600 for a new T901S.

Also, on the second-to-last picture (the one right before the mouthpiece picture), are the gold-colored spots I see due to tarnishing, or is that where the silver plating is wearing off? Thanks again!

I have a T900 which I like but would be interested in any observations from other T900 players.

Hi. I have just got a Yani 900, I think from the mid-90's and it sounds great with my Selmer Soloist mpc. Lovely feel, too, all the keys are in the right place for my smallish hands.
Anyone know when Yani stopped making the 900?
